Visiting the Bluegrass

My sister-in-law, Andria, is on her way to Kentucky to spend a few days with us and some friends. Next month, Andria and my very brave little brother, Clinton, will be moving to Japan for three years. Clinton is a United States Marine and will be stationed there, (expect pictures of Clinton and his beautiful nephew soon). Wish Clinton could be here for a visit too, but we hope to get the whole family together one last time before the big move very soon. I'll keep you posted!

Beautiful Ice Storm

Well, we made it through the ice storm! We were only without power for about 20 hours, unlike most of Madison county. It was fun for just a moment to sit by the fireplace, warm chilli up using the fire, listening to the radio in the dark.....then it got cold and most of the fun went away! But, the ice glazed everything over and outside just sparkled! It was gorious! I couldn't help but grab my camera and head out the door to see what I could find! Here are a few shots I took behind my house. I just love all the sparkle!
